Hello
Welcome to our new website and blog, Catlove.ca. We hope that you find the content on this site entertaining as well as informational. My wife and I live in Ottawa, Ontario and have been empty-nesters for a couple of years now. In October, 2017, we acquired our fourth cat, a female kitten that was half Snow Leopard Bengal and the other half, we're not quite sure of. In any case, she was all of 7 weeks old when we picked her up and she has been somewhat of a handful since then.
A New Kitten and Puppy
To make matters just a bit more complicated, we received news a few days after taking in the kitten from a dog breeder that she had a male Lemon drop Beagle for us. The puppy was four months old and he came into our home a week after the kitten. The kitten and the puppy formed a bond almost immediately given their relative close age and that they were outsiders to the other 3 cats that have been with us for several years. House training a puppy and integrating a new kitten into our home definitely kept us going for several weeks. Actually, it kept us going for several months given the energy of the kitten and the puppy.
What's Next?
We will be putting up content regarding life with our 4 cats and some of the challenges that come with a multi-cat household. Having a young dog in the mix also adds to the complexity of multiple pets in a house. There will also be reviews on various products related to pets including cat litter, foods, cleaning solutions and equipment. There will also be a YouTube channel where videos will be posted of our cats in action and also to compliment the product reviews.
